The book offers seven habits to be effective. These include being proactive and putting first things first. It also highlights the habit of seeking first to understand before seeking to be understood.

The 4-Hour Workweek rallies against deferred gratification. According to Timothy Ferriss, it is not ideal for people to work long hours only to afford short vacations and save up for retirement. Since its first publication in 2007, it has since sold over one million copies across the globe. It has also spent four years on The New York Times Best-Seller list.

The publication was inspired by Ferriss’s previous lifestyle where he had to work 14 hours a day. When he finally had his fill, he took a sabbatical leave to Europe. This lead him to write the book and has since written others.

Deepak Chopra uses laws of nature in writing The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success. He also incorporates it with the basic nature of human beings to find personal success.

In this book, Chopra claims that we can create anything we want through seven laws. These laws include the law of pure potentiality, the law of giving, and the law of karma, among others.

This book is everything. I’m not even half way through it and it has already changed me as a person. I have been told in the past that I HAD to read this book. I wanted to but never took the plunge. To be honest I don’t think I was ready for it …until now. #thewarofart
